About Sayyid Saabiq:

Sabiq penned Fiqh As-Sunnah in the 1940s at the age of 30, following a request from Ustadh Hassan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood. Rooted in the Quran and Sunnah, each Fiqh ruling in the book is addressed objectively across all four madhahib. Sabiq's approach emphasizes simplification and steers clear of theological disputes. Noteworthy as both an academic and Islamic activist, he engaged in armed conflict with the Mujahideen in Palestine post-1940s and conducted global lectures. Born in Istanha, Egypt, Sabiq pursued education at Al-Azhar University before assuming roles in religious education and academic leadership in Saudi Arabia. Subsequently teaching at Al-Azhar and contributing to Sharia studies at Um Al-Qura University. He concluded his career teaching in Cairo's mosques.
